JCG JV (John Holland, CPB and Ghella Joint Venture) has been awarded a $1.63 billion contract for 3.5km’s of metro rail tunnels between The Bays and Sydney CBD. This is the final tunneling package for the massive Sydney Metro West construction project.
It’s been reported that Sydney Metro West will create over 10,000 direct new jobs and that tunnellers, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, concrete workers, truck drivers, labourers and security guards will all be required. And I can only imagine the number of white collar roles that will also be required.
